His loss has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of players, parents, and fellow coaches who had the privilege of knowing him.
Eric dedicated more than five years to coaching in the league, beginning his journey when his son, Aiden, first stepped onto the field as a Teeball player. What started as a parent volunteering quickly grew into a lasting commitment to youth development, sportsmanship, and community. Over the years, Eric became far more than a coach — he was a trusted mentor, a steady leader, and a source of encouragement for countless young athletes.
Known for his kindness, patience, and genuine love for the game, Eric had a unique ability to connect with children and families alike. He believed in teaching not only baseball skills, but also teamwork, confidence, and respect. His positive presence on and off the field helped shape the experiences of many young players, leaving an impact that will endure long after the final inning.
Eric is survived by his beloved wife, Shannon, and his son, Aiden, who remain in the thoughts and prayers of the entire WBYB family during this incredibly difficult time. The league has expressed its collective grief while also honoring the legacy Eric leaves behind — one defined by generosity, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to youth sports.
The loss of Coach Eric is being felt deeply across the league, where memories of his guidance, encouragement, and warm spirit continue to be shared. Though his time was far too short, his influence will remain woven into the fabric of the community he cared for so deeply.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Bnai Torah Congregation, located at 6261 NW 18th Street in Boca Raton, Florida. Burial will follow the service at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens, 11520 FL-7 in Boynton Beach, Florida.
As the community comes together to mourn, they also celebrate a life well lived and a legacy built on compassion, dedication, and love for the game. Coach Eric Moskoff will always be remembered as an integral part of WBYB.
